From Trinidad go 21 miles west to the east edge of Weston. Turn left and follow the signs. This is the large property that the CDOW bought with the help of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. The property is incredible, however, "Bear Woods" is a very apt name.

Segundo.  Segundo was once the largest coal processing center west of Chicago, boasting 800 coking ovens.

Stonewall.  Stonewall is a village located at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains on Highway 12.

Weston.  Weston, a village of spectacular scenery and rich history, is located about 20 miles west of Trinidad on Highway 12.
